BMW X6 M Design Edition
Well… at least it’s not plaid. Don’t get me wrong, I love the colors of a Martini Racing-ish livery, almost as much as I love the Gulf Racing livery. The red, dark blue and light blue stripes on the limited BMW X6 M Design Edition just feel a bit out of place. That’s probably because everything about the BMW X6 M is out of place.
That being said, BMW isn’t going to make many of the X6 M Design Edition, only 100 examples, to be precise. There are no performance upgrades to the Design Edition over the “regular” X6 M. It still has the same 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 with 555 horse and 500 pound-feet of torque. And, despite its 5,234 pound curb weight, the six-speed gearbox and all-wheel-drive setup will still help get the X6 M Design Edition from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
What you do get (in addition to the stripes) are special 21 inch alloy wheels, carbon fiber front and rear splitters, a black grille and diffuser, afancy black and Mugello red leather interior with piano black trim and an individualized number plate. No word on the cost of the BMW X6 M Design Edition, but expect it to be well north of the X6 M’s base price of $93,795.
