2015 Audi A3 Sedan Starts at $29,900 [Update, Video]
Sometime next year, we (and by “we” I mean the U.S.) will get our hands on the all-new 2015 Audi A3 Sedan (that happened to have already debuted in Europe about a year ago), and it will be priced from $29,900 (plus an $895 destination fee). That starting price happens to be the same as the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and about two grand shy of the BMW 2 Series, the A3’s rivals in the war of sporty little luxury German car war for the hearts and wallets of Generation Y.
Just to refresh your memory, the 2015 Audi A3 Sedan comes with three direct-injected, turbo, four-cylinder powerplant options, two gas and a diesel: 1.8 liter TFSI, 2.0 liter TFSI and 2.0 liter TDI. There will also be a 296 horse 2.0 TFSI S3 Sedan variant. That one is for all the marbles, going head-to-head with the CLA45 AMG and the BMW M235i. No matter which 2015 A3 Sedan you opt for, you’ll be getting a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. I like rowing my own gears, but Audi makes a very good dual-clutch.
Shortly after the 2015 Audi A3 Sedan make its way to dealers, Audi will follow with the A3 Cabriolet, the S3 Sedan and lastly the not-for-US 2015 Audi A3 Sportback hybrid. For more info, check out the press release below and be sure to take a look at the video from the A3’s debut in New York.
